The answer to that is crucial before I get into any serious relationship. I just can't give up drinking for life. Hell - my entire social life is over dinner, cocktails and pub crawling. I think that is true for almost everybody else I know too. So I should definitely make sure that whoever I fall in love with doesn't mind booze. I fight on this constantly with two of the people whom I love- my mom and my sis. They can't stand the thought of me having a drink! My mom says "How can you do something that creates unhappiness to people who love you!". When I wonder what there is about a couple of drinks that can create so much 'unhappiness' she keeps saying that "This is the way I am. You have no right to say that I have no right to be unhappy about it". Man - the way she goes on about it, anybody'd think I'm a raging alcoholic instead of a normal I-need-my-two-cocktails-before-dinner-when-I-eat-out kind of guy!
None of my friends seem to have this sort of a prob. Either their parents don't know, or if they do, they don't mind a bit. My mom is very square about just this one thing. Hell! I wish she'd pick something else to be weird about!

I agree..even my mommy creates fuss abt this..
totally conditioned that drinking is evil..
Her argument is that..2 can become 4, 4 to 8...etc...and you don't even know when this evil has taken over u..
Thats mothers theory....
