Can hardly believe that i have just 3 weeks to go before my life at K comes to an end! Feel a twinge of sadness each time that i'm reminded that it is almost time 2 leave this place that has been home 4 two years. I think i'll miss it a lot. This place has been Never Never Land to us - a place where the rules are different and a lot of the rules of the outside world don't apply. Where else would you find people getting up at 2 in the afternoon and not bat an eyelid when u c that!!! And this might be when you r just getting to bed after staying up till dawn to finish an assignment and then went off to class bcoz u just couldn't afford to miss yet another class. Or it maybe bcoz u were staying up all night boozing with friends ;-)
It sure has been a nice two years! I didn't like it in the beginning. Felt like it ought to mean much much more. But then gradually realized that this place and the whole MBA experience is what u make out of it. Hmmm... sounds suspiciously like life doesn't it ;-) And i've gotten what i came here for - a shift into Finance from coding! Of course it isn't an Investment Banking job that I wanted and dreamt of the 1st time i wrote CAT as a freshfaced, immature, but idealistic (i use this term to describe someone who refuses to compromise and thinks the sky is the limit) engg undergrad. But realistically, i've gotten one of the best jobs that i can hope to get! Now is being realistic about compromise? Is this what happens to us as we 'mature'? Do we tend to accept things as they are and not dream of the impossible - nay, the improbable i should say. But that is matter 4 another post!
4 now let me get back to listing down all the things that i'll miss from K!
I'll miss K - the place! Wonder y? Take a look at the snaps below! Kraz: U know what i'm talking about!
Other things i'll miss!
1) The Meta Group (Nope - not the famous IT consulting fim. This is a much 'humbler' group of me and my friend here who team up 4 all the group work)
2) The midnight snacks at the night canteen
3) The crazy adrenaline fuelled all nighters that we pull 4 almost all submissions
4) The equally crazy all night drink-and-chat-till-dawn sessions
5) The view from my balcony
6) The movies on the LAN
7) The 24/7 access to the Net (ok - it goes down sometimes ;-) and thus is not quite 24/7/365 )
8) The evening jogs around the campus
and the list goes on an on. Hell - i think i'll even miss the marathon hours of classes!
