Good Bye

Nope. I'm not quitting blogging. Not even temporarily. But saying Good Bye to different people that I know at work is all that I've been doing the last couple of days - other than doing odd jobs which I can wrap up in a few hours and which wouldn't have to be "transitioned". Funnily enough, almost everybody said that I'm making a good career move and wished me luck. That is when I realized that it wasn't just me! Everybody hates this place almost as much or more ;-)

Start work at my new office next monday. Jeez, I wonder how I'll ever wake up at 6!!! And gotta find a new apartment fast. At last I'm ready to settle down to life here. There is something like a healthy amount of uncertainty that adds excitement to your life. Then there is the uncertainty of I-don't-know-which-city-I'm-going-to-be-in-next-month-so-I-can't-buy-those-fragile-cocktail-glasses kind of uncertainty. Thankfully I can now go ahead and buy the cocktail glasses and a bookshelf and a proper bedside table and all of that :-) At least, as soon as I find a flat. Which hopefully will be done by the end of this weekend.

Everybody I met at our alumni day last weekend remarked about how happy I looked and about how I've put on weight. Somebody asked me if I've been working out. I had to admit that I had quit about 4 years back :-/ That reminds me that I need to get back to it. Once you start working out, you become close to being obsessed about your body and you feel guilty when you feel that extra inch coming on at your waist and those muscles wasting away. Remember a time when I'd feel guilty about missing a single day of my schedule. Now 4 years later, I don't even feel guilty about not working out. Well, make that almost ;-)
