Don't think, just let yourself drift

Sometimes you just don't want to think. If you start thinking, then you'll find your thoughts drifting back to something you'd rather forget. Forcing yourself to forget it doesn't work. By trying to focus on shutting it out, you are making it the center of all your thoughts. I've found it easier to just drift.

Trance helps me to do just that. It is bliss. Peace. Think I ought to lock up my entire 80s and 90s CD collection and not listen to it still I am ready to get into that mode. Good Bye to mushy sentimental stuff for now. Time for some nice hardhitting stuff.

You enjoy turning convention on its head, dont you?

Did I just say narcotizing oneself to write better was... convention? Geez. I hope noone from the USBATF comes round here.

Cyn: Read "The Drifters" by James A Michener? I loved that! Haven't managed to get my hands on a good copy of The Beach yet.
