May 3-drink limits rule!

I was just about 2 give up and go to bed. It was 1 AM and i had been up since 6:45 AM (a pretty early day 4 me as i usually get up at 8:30 or 9 AM). Tons of stuff yet to be done as it is near the end of term. But i was dead tired at the end of a long day! As i was trudging towards my room, ran into a group of Jrs who were partying. Being the nice guys they r, they asked me 2 join in. I wondered 4 a sec if it wouldn't be better 2 go to bed. On the other hand, a single quick drink wouldn't hurt ;-) Ended up drinking a couple of shots and chatting till 2 Am. Then headed off to my room and started work. Yep - partying does boost ur energy levels!!! Now it is 3:40 and i am still going strong. Think it'll be at least anthr couple of hours b4 i feel sleepy. Out here if u go to bed b4 u feel sleepy, it is a criminal waste of time! Sleep is sthng akin 2 a luxury which u can ill-afford. Especially near end of term. My cousin used to tell me stories of his expat boss who'd hit the gym for a couple of hours straight from work, and then head over to a bar for a couple of shots, and then get down to prep for work next day. At 8 AM the guy would be ready with all the reports he'd needed 2 finish off and to top it all he'd manage not to look like sthng the cat just dragged in ;-) Impressive, huh !!! I sure thought so. But now i think most of us r headed down that path of working hard, and partying harder. The more stressed u r, the more u need outlets. Dope is strictly out for 2 reasons - a) it hampers ur performance and b) it is not really socially accepted. While booze, my friends, is not just socially accepted, but is a social lubricant !!! So - it is the gym or a jog and then booze 4 me. But i've learnt to make sure that a 3-drink limit rules my weekday evenings! Any more than that and u'll actually end up not getting energised, but outright drunk, not to put too fine a point on it!
