You know u r turning old when you
- don't listen to the new releases on MTV any more and starts yearning for good stuff like they 'used to make some years back'
- You can sing along to your entire CD collection because it has been ages since you've bought anything new and you know all your fave songs by heart!
- start preferring soft, romantic comedies to Rambo 3/4/5 or whatever
- own at least 1 CD of classical music (sorry - this line is sheer plagiarism from 'Turning Thirty', but can't help it- sums up my feelings exactly!)
- start searching for a soulmate and keep hoping that you'd meet the one person who you think - no, make that 'you KNOW' - that you want to live with !
- You start taking rejections harder than you used to. Because you know/feel that time is running out and you can't wait any more to find that special person in your life!
- when you don't think of all night drinking sessions as 'fun' any more
- your idea of fun is a quiet bottle of wine over conversation with somebody you love
- kids start calling you "Uncle" and start treating you like somebody in their parents' generation instead of their own (though you are 20 sthng while their parents are in their late 30s - to kids, anybody over 20 is OLD).
- you can't fit into your old pair of jeans anymore and you suddenly realise that you aren't the dapper 60 sthng Kgs that you used to be in college
- every other day you start wondering about whether you are turning old ;-)
- you start wondering if things will ever be the way you wanted them to be - as a teen, anything and everything seemed possible - now, you are realistic - you no longer want to be the next Sachin Tendulkar / Bryan Adams / ... but you start think about becoming the next Larry Ellison ;-) Now that is a sure sign that you are maturing!
- You think twice before you set out for a game of badminton / cricket / ... because it has been ages since you've managed to get any exercise other than twiddling with the remote and you run out of breath about 2 mins into the game
- you are a little less catholic about just about everything! Your likes and dislikes are getting firmer and you convince yourself that it is just that you are getting more sophisticated and mature (euphemism for old?)
I guess this list can go on and on! Jeez - i'm having a full blown quarter-life-crisis on my hands here ;-)

hi uncle :)
I feel exactly the opposite with each passing year. Its definitely '18 till I die' for me!
Hi GWBE,
Nice 2 c u in here "kiddo" ;-)
i used 2 feel the same way too ! In fact i used 2 swear by the same line u used "18 till i die" ! Thought that would be my motto for life. Don't know when things changed, but they did! I realised it when i started to change my liking for new music. Still drift off into different genres, but can't stand the current fad 4 boy-bands or teenage girl pop stars or the guys who claim to be the next big thing in rock ! I'd listen to "the cranberries" or "richard marx" or "Metallica" or sthng on those lines anyday.
I'm saying that u get more nostalgic when u get older. I feel that way. Maybe u rnt old enough - yet ;-)
a wise, old, sagely yours,
